Todd Allen Sheets

Todd A. Sheets, 48, of Charlotte, NC passed away on January 28, 2023. Todd was born in Frankfort, Indiana on April 5th, 1974 to the late Kenneth Roland Sheets and Glenda Sue Langley (Lowe). Along with his parents, Todd is preceded in death by his stillborn son, Joseph Allen Sheets.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Leigh Sheets (Van Wagner); daughter, McKinley Anne Sheets; daughter, Hannah Alexis Sheets; sister, Hope Marie Ballard (Sheets); brother-in-law, Billy Joel Ballard Jr; and nephew, James Garrett Ballard.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, February 2, 2023, 3:30 PM, at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, Charlotte. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the graveside service at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, Huntersville.
Memorial donations may be made to Flight from Cancer. FFC is a nonprofit organization that McKinley created to fight back against this horrible cancer disease. McKinley will send all donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering's cancer research, specifically Dr. Jesse Joshua Smith's ground breaking cancer research. Dr. Smith & his team, undoubtedly, gave us an additional year with Todd through his brilliant research, compassionate heart, and skillful surgical hand. He will forever be considered a friend of ours. Donations can be made through Venmo at Flight from Cancer @ ffc_stephaniesheets. All donations will be sent directly to Dr. Smith's cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Together, we can and will find a cure for cancer.
Todd loved life and squeezed every drop out of his short life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, and (of course) his UNC Charlotte 49ers football. His biggest regret was not getting to see his daughters grow up.
