Todd Johnathan Stimus, Sr., 62, of Bonaire, Georgia, passed away on November 17, 2024. Born on June 21, 1961, in Rochester, New York, Todd was the son of the late Thomas and Marion Stimus. His father, Thomas, was a well-known local car dealer whose brash television commercials and newspaper ads became part of the family legacy. Todd followed in his father’s footsteps, dedicating over 45 years of his life to the automotive industry. He was both an entrepreneur and sales manager, working with numerous car dealerships across Georgia and Florida.
Todd's love for motorsports ran deep. A former street stock model race car driver, he spent countless hours at his father’s racetrack, Tom Stimus Desoto Speedway in Bradenton, Florida. Over the years, he celebrated many victories, earning first-place finishes in numerous races.
Beyond his career in the automotive world and racing, Todd had a passion for motorcycles, NASCAR, and flat track racing. He was a devoted fan of his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt, and could often be found cheering for him at every race. Todd also enjoyed the thrill of fishing, both in fresh and saltwater, and cherished his vacations at the beach, where he could relax and spend time with family and friends.
Todd’s legacy in the automotive world and motorsports will never be forgotten. He lived life with passion and dedication, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Todd Johnathan Stimus, Sr. is preceded in death by his father, Thomas D. Stimus; mother, Marion M. Molinari; brother, Richard Belluomo; sister, Betsy Stimus; nephew, Scott D. Stimus; and his late wife Vivian D. Stimus.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Todd Stimus, Jr. (Laura) of Perry, Georgia, Josh Stimus (Kymberley) of Perry, Georgia, Chad Stimus of Perry, Georgia, and Courtney Koppel of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Todd Stimus, III, Daniel Stimus, Jake Stimus, Luke Stimus, Gracie Stimus, Cohen Stimus, and Avery Stimus; siblings, Burt Stimus (Shawna), Joey Belluomo (Loretta), and Kathy Oliver (Royce); and many nieces and nephews.
