Todd Wilson Thompson, 60, of Dobson, North Carolina, passed away February 24, 2026. Born July 22, 1965, in Surry County, to the late James Herman and Wanda Thompson and the late Rebecca Judith Baker. Todd was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a loyal friend and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Snow Hill Baptist Church. He loved racing and music, especially rock and roll. Todd always knew how to get that big buck or catch that big fish and was an incredible mentor to those who knew him. He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his loving wife of nearly 36 years, Denna Stanley Thompson; sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie “Jake” Thompson and Laura, and Joseph Aaron Haynes and Lindsay; grandchildren, Carson White and Lindsay, Jaron Haynes, Hunter Thompson, Charley Thompson, and Jackson Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca Ann Marion and Donald; brother and sister-in-law, Tim Thompson and Catherine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brothers, Travis Thompson, and Toby Thompson. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service. The funeral will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Snow Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Shelton and Rev. Jason Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Thompson will lie-in-state, Sunday from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted, or donations be made to the Snow Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund in honor of Todd. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Thompson family
