Toeasonaimoamoa Mulipola, 57 passed away peacefully on November 7th 2023 in Carson California. He was born on July 23rd, 1966 at LBJ Medical Center in Faga'alu American Samoa to Repeka Saia'ana and the late Aiolupotea Toeaso Mulipola
In 1970, at 6 years old his family relocated from American Samoa to San Francisco, California. Toeaso, attended grade school at Normont Elementary in Habor City, California until the age of 9. His family moved to Carson California in 1975, where he continued his education at Caroldale Elementary. He graduated from Carson High School in 1985. Being the eldest of 5, he was determined to fulfill his role as a big brother in so many ways. Upon graduating high school, he landed his first job at McStarlite Company where he worked for many years until 2013. He joined ILWU (Long Shoreman) until his health declined and was physically not able to perform his duties. His biggest accomplishment was being a father to his only son, Ryan Anthony Aiolupotea Mulipola, who is his pride and joy.
Growing up, his tall stature, gullible and loveable presence earned him the nickname "big Hoss" (reference to the famous TV show Bonanza). Because of his unique sense of humor, he earned the "Fun and Cool Uncle" badge from his nieces and nephews. Later in life he was known by many as "T", the humble gentle giant with an infectious smile. His loud tone and laugh made it easy to find him in a crowd. He also had an intimidating look that was often mistaken for a mean grin. He built so many friendships with those that he crossed paths within his life. "T" loved his family, more importantly his dear mother who holds a special place in his heart. He was truly a "mamas boy"
Toeaso is survived by his mother Repeka, his son Ryan, his sisters Pipiimaeleele (Curtis), Sofarania (Okeni), Merina, his brother Peter (Maureen), countless nieces/nephews, and numerous grand-nieces/nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Aiolupotea Mulipola, his paternal grand-parents Lolomatauama Pelesi Mulipola and Momoemamanuaesaumalaeatia'e Maiava Su'a, his maternal grandparents Saia'ana Togia Esekia and Filigataotuiomanu'a Leui Saia'ana, and many other loved ones.
The family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to Sherry Walker (mother to Toeaso's only son Ryan) for ensuring he had the care that he needed from the time his health declined until his final days.
His final services will be held on Wednesday November 29th 9am to 12 pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1401 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT, 84104. The funeral services under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home located in Bluffdale Utah. Their compassionate assistance has been invaluable for the family during this difficult time. Toeaso will be deeply missed by all who knew him especially his family. Ia Manuia Lau Malaga Toeasonaimoamoa.
