On December 20th, 2023, Repeka Saiaana Mulipola, a matriarch, and beloved mother peacefully returned to her Heavenly Home surrounded with love by all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family.
Repeka was born on April 9th, 1945, in Ta'u Manua American Samoa to the late Saia'ana Togia Esekia and Filigataotuiomanu'a Leui of Ta'u Manua.
She is the eldest sister to her siblings;
Faga Saia'ana (brother) deceased, Pepa Saia'ana Paepule (sister), Saiolo Saia'ana Sturms (sister), Maloupu Saia'ana Sele (sister) deceased, Fagaga Saia'ana Muasau (brother), Ioanelepapatiso Saia'ana (brother) deceased, Sailimaleolaoleali'i Saia'ana (sister) deceased, Ioanelepapatiso Ta'avasa Saia'ana II(brother), Pouono Fa'ala'a Saia'ana (brother), Matavai Saia'ana Niumaana (sister), Asuega Tasi Saia'ana (brother), Matafele Saia'ana Ili(sister).
Repeka was born and raised in the Christian Church by her parents. In 1951 she started grade school at Manu'a Elementary until she advanced to Papatea High School in 1958.
In 1964 she met a young LDS missionary from the village of Falelima, Savaii who later became her one and only love (Aiolupotea Toeaso Mulipola).
On Sept 4th, 1965, their courtship led to an eternal marriage and the start of a new family. Her hopes and dreams of building a better life for her children led to moving to San Francisco California in 1970.
In 1975 the family relocated to Carson, California where they called home for decades to come.
She is a loving mother to her children;
Son - Toeasonaimoamoa Mulipola Daughter - Pipiimaeleele Mulipola Aiono (Curtis Aiono) Son - Peter Mulipola (Maureen Naea) Daughter - Sofarania Mulipola Moe (Okeni Moe) Daughter - Merina Mulipola.
She was a long-time employee at Pentel of America in Torrance California before joining Celestron, an optics company where she was employed until she decided to become a full-time mother and wife. She was talented with cooking / baking and enjoyed trying new recipes and making old favorites. Her absolute devotion and love for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was evident in her life. She faithfully served in many church callings through the years (Relief Society, Young Women's, Primary etc.).
She was a constant temple goer, this was her safe haven, the one place where she was always able to find peace and joy. Her love of doing temple work for those who passed on was an opportunity to strengthen her faith and testimony. She spent her life in the service of others and her family until her health declined in 2016.
Repeka is survived by her children Pipiimaeleele (Curtis), Sofarania (Okeni), Peter (Maureen), Merina.
24 Grandchildren, 49 Great grandchildren, sisters Pepa, Saiolo, Matavai, Matafele, brothers Fagaga Muasau, Ioanelepapatiso Tavasa II, Pouono Fa'ala'a, Asuega Tasi, and countless nieces/nephews.
She is preceded in death by her eternal companion Aiolupotea Toeaso Mulipola, her eldest son Toeasonaimoamoa Mulipola, her parents Saia'ana Togia Esekia and Filigataotuiomanu'a Leui Saia'ana, brothers, Faga Saia'ana, Ioanelepapatiso Saia'ana, sisters Maloupu Saia'ana Sele and Sailimaleolaoleali'i Saia'ana.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on

Family service from 9am to 1130 am.
Bishop's service from 12:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Burial service following bishop service at 2:30pm

Her services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Serenity for their compassionate assistance in moms care after her passing.
A big thank you to her hospice care, the nurses that visited her each week and to all those that often stopped by to visit with her.
She will forever be missed by her children, family, and friends.
