Tom Dial Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Snellville from Apr. 9 to Apr. 10, 2025.
Tom died at his home on March 8, 2025. He graduated from UT Martin and went on to serve his country in the Marine Corps, the National Security Agency, US Air Marshalls, and Drug Enforcement Agency. He served as the Director of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics for having been appointed by Governor Winter. He went on to start his own company working as a private investigator for 30 plus years. He discovered his love of tennis when he was a teenager, and it was always a big part of his life. He also was an avid traveler and delighted in learning about new and different cultures. His travel took him across the country and across the world. He traveled with family and friends as often as he could. His love of travel inspired him to become a great chef. His favorite past time was to create meals for his family and friends.
He was born on December 20, 1938, to Tom Lee Dial and Clara Wayne Trimmer Dial in Cypress Inn, Tennessee. He was the oldest of seven children. He is survived by one sister, Joanne Dial Rickard. He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brothers Jimmy Douglas Dial, George Delano Dial, and Jerry Wayne Dial, and sisters Linda Dial Armistead and Carolyn Sue Dial.
He was married to Rosa Roberts Dial for 59 years. He was Dad to two daughters, Stacy Dial Bartolich (Kurt) and Lori Dial Crosby (Matthew). He was Papa to grandchildren, Austin Thomas Furey, Ashleigh Nicole Furey, Connor Matthew Crosby and Ella Grace Crosby.
He was surrogate Papa for his nephew, Christopher George Roberts' (Kim) children, Lawson Grant Roberts, Landon Shea Roberts, and Ava Elisabeth Roberts.
