Tom Griffin Obituary
He was born September 26, 1946 in Ballinger to James and Mary Griffin. He grew up and graduated high school in Winters. He joined the United States Air Force in 1966 and fought in Vietnam and Saudi Arabia, retiring in 1995.
He is preceded in death by his parents: James and Mary Griffin; and 3 siblings: Mike Griffin, Sandra Riegel, and Bill Griffin.
He is survived by 5 children: Kim Turner and husband Chris of Memphis, TN, Tim Griffin and wife Dina of Abilene, Sam Griffin and wife Stacy of Bryan, Mandi Lewis and husband Eric of Sherman, and Pete Griffin and wife Caelie of Clayton, NC; sister-in-law Judy Griffin of Michigan; 11 grandchildren: Maya Turner, Hunter Turner, Bailey Jourdan and husband Aaron, Emma Griffin, Seaver Griffin, Isabel Griffin, Hays Griffin, Hadley Lewis, Griffin Lewis, Eastland Lewis, and Graham Griffin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hendrick Hospice Care of Abilene, Texas.
