Swirtz, Thomas "Tom" Lawrence age 67, of Eden Prairie, passed away surrounded by family on December 29, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Minneapolis on December 26, 1956. A proud Eden Prairie High School and St. Thomas University alumni. Following in his father's footsteps, Tom was a State Farm Insurance agent for 40 years. As the very family-oriented man that he was, he recently achieved his dream of owning a cabin for all of his family to come together and make memories at. His children plan to continue those family traditions. Tom spent a lot of his free time golfing with his friends, traveling, boating on Lake Minnetonka, jet-skiing, snowmobiling, and ATVing. What he loved the most was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Tom was known to be the life of the party and loved hosting. His generosity, kind heart, and sense of humor will be deeply missed. Survived by his children Kristen Swirtz, Katie (John) Ormston, and Sean Swirtz; grandchildren Connor, Kinsey, Jack, and Kaylan; brothers and sisters Sharon (Bill) Maus, Christine (Jeff) Vaala, Greg (Molly) Swirtz, and Michael (Lisa) Swirtz; 10 nieces/nephews; and 12 great nieces/nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence & Patricia Swirtz. Celebration of Life, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior.
