Tom Tamms Obituary
Tom Lee Tamms, age 94, passed away peacefully at Bethany Heights October 29, 2025.
He was born July 26, 1931, to the late William and Ruth (Schaffert) Tamms in Avoca, IA. Tom graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and then proudly served his county in the National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Tamms; son, Tommy Tamms Jr.; siblings, Betty Selby, Billy Tamms, and Mary Ann Tamms.
Tommy is survived by his daughters, Terry (Dan) Justesen, Amme Melegrito; grandchildren, Matt Justesen, Samantha (Adam) Opal, Traci (Jeff) Wigington, Melissa (Jake) Flammang, Nicholas McCoy, Jacob Melegrito, Aliya Melegrito; great grandchildren, Spencer Justesen, Kayleigh Opal, Ashleigh Opal, Carleigh Opal, Ryleigh Opal, Landon Wigington, Paetyn Wigington, Jaydan Wigington, Lexie Flammang, Emersyn Flammang, Hadlee Flammang, Benny McCoy; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He has been cremated and there will be no public service.
