Tom Wilson

Services for Thomas "Tom" Walton Wilson, 40, of Plano, will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church in Chariton. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. at the church. The family invites everyone to join the luncheon following the service. Interment will be held at New York Cemetery in Millerton, Iowa after lunch.
Tom was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 7, 1985, to Mike & Marcia Wilson. He trusted Jesus as his Savior as a young boy and was baptized. After a kidney transplant at age 9, he lived an active and busy life. Tom graduated from Wilson Family Academy and earned an Associate of Applied Sciences degree from DMACC in 2005. He worked as a service technician for Casey's General Stores for 18 years. He was a member of Living Stone Church in Corydon, where he played bass in the worship band, and the Christian Motorcyclist Association, once serving as chaplain. Tom was gifted at repairing machines, enjoyed motorcycles, target shooting, and smoking meat for family, friends, and special events. Most of all Tom loved spending time with his family. He was present, participated, and had fun.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Mildred Wilson, Merle and Avice Pope, and a step grandmother, Ethel Wilson.
Left to share Tom's memory are his wife of 14 wonderful years, Kaella, their children: Erinne, Diana, Mary, Ruth, Joshua, and another little boy on the way, Samuel; siblings Robyn (Zach) Reiter, children Aria & Lincoln; Angela (Jake) Kaiser, son Jace; Mick (Alizea) Wilson; parents, Michael and Marcia Wilson; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Deborah Drake; brother-in-law Kolton (Ashley) Drake, children Nevaeh, Ashlin, Joseline, Marcella, & Waylon; sister-in-law Kelley (Adam) Ullmer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
