Tomas Garcia, 80, of Plainview passed away on, August 30 ,2025. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father George Poonely officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.
Tomas was born on March 20, 1945 in Donna, Texas to Tomas and Ramona Garcia. Known for his devotion to his family and friends, he lived life to the fullest, bringing warmth and laughter wherever he went. Tomas worked as a dedicated truck driver, traversing the open roads while sharing stories and laughter with those he met along the way. He had a heart as big as his passion for the open road, and he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, especially his beloved wife, Maria DeGarcia. Tomas's unwavering commitment to his loved ones will always be remembered. He was the cornerstone of their lives, offering support, laughter, and unconditional love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the countless lives he touched with his kindness.
Tomas is preceded in death by his parents; Tomas and Ramona Garcia, his siblings; Ismael Garcia, Noe Garcia, Estella Castillo, and Mary Garcia.
Tomas is survived by his siblings; Ninfa Moreno, Carol Reyes, his children; Diamantina Salinas, Christina Pena, Abel Garcia, Jessica Bell, Robert Garcia, Sergio Garcia, Juan Jose Garcia, Rebecca Salazar, Teresa Joplin, and Magdalena Garcia.
