Tomias Wolfe Richards, a beloved member of the Branford community, passed away on September 9, 2025. Known for his kind-hearted nature and polite demeanor, Tomias was a friend to many and a joy to be around. He was a graduate of Bell High School, where he played in the marching band and excelled at most brass instruments, showcasing his love for all kinds of music.

Tomias had a brief stint in the US Navy, where he served with dedication until a medical discharge due to an injury. Despite this setback, he continued to pursue his passions with vigor. He was an enthusiast of video games, racing RC cars, metal detecting, treasure hunting, skateboarding, swimming, and coin collecting. His love for Japanese culture and anime was well-known among his friends and family.

Always on the lookout for the mystical, Tomias enjoyed capturing the beauty of sunrises and sunsets through his photography. He was a creative soul who loved grilling and spending time with loved ones. His intelligence and outlandish spirit made him a unique and cherished individual.

Tomias is survived by his loving mother, Christina (Blake) Downs; his sisters, Axie Shisler, Carry Reid-Downs, and Ava Beasley; his brothers, Hayden Shisler and Aaron Downs; his grandparents, Bruce (Debbie) Johnson and Don (Melissa) Meyer; his great-grandparents, A.W. & Carolyn Gaylard; his uncles, Andrew Meyer and Chris (Rachel) Rash; his aunt, Brandy Rash; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Bell High School Powerhouse Marching Band, 930 S Main St, Bell, FL 32619.
