A memorial service will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Roberson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the funeral home prior to service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Tommie Hayes Ethridge, a devoted wife, mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 75. A resident of the Whynot community, Tommie’s life was defined by her generous spirit, her professional dedication, and her deep and unwavering faith.
Born on August 3, 1950, Tommie found her life’s calling in the medical field, where she served for over 30 years. Beyond her professional life, Tommie was profoundly devoted, active, and beloved member of her church, where her faith served as a guiding light for her family and friends. Tommie instilled in her loved ones the values of kindness, commitment, and service to others.
Tommie’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Randy Ethridge; children, Chris Ethridge (Christie), Wade Ethridge, Jennifer Breckenridge (Lindsey), and Adam Ethridge (Kim); grandchildren, Ben Ethridge, Matt Ethridge, Beckett Ethridge, and Bennett Ethridge; siblings, Alvin “Junior” Hayes (Glenda), Carolyn Crawford (Frankie), and Judy Swinney (Bob); sisters-in-law, Judy Hayes and Sherry Wolfe; brother-in-law, Greg Ethridge (Freida); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Margaret Hayes; siblings, Roger Hayes (Barbara), and Ronnie Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorial donations be made to Lauderdale Baptist Crisis Center.
