Tommie Fields, of Leesburg, left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born on March 15, 1958, in Warsaw, the son of Okie and Josephine Fields (Hall). Tommie was a beacon of love and joy to everyone who knew him.
As a person with a heart of gold, Tommie embodied the spirit of generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. Described by those close to him as a "good guy," he would give his shirt off his back to someone in need, showcasing the depth of his compassion and care for others.
Tommie had a passion for life that was evident in his hobbies. He enjoyed simple pleasures, including spending time fishing and shuffleboard. He was an avid fan of Nascar, particularly Jeff Gordon, and found happiness in football and cookouts with family and friends. His love for mushroom hunting further shows his love of the great outdoors and the joy he found in exploration.
He took immense pride in his family. Tommie is survived by his beloved daughter, Brandy Harris, along with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will also be remembered by his brothers, Arthur and Okie Fields, and by many, many friends whose lives he touched. Tommie now joins his parents and sisters, Irene and Kathryn, who have preceded him in death.
