Tommie Joe Garrett, age 94, of Cumming, GA, passed away September 18, 2025. Mr. Garrett was born in Forsyth County to his parents, Elijah and Mollie Garrett. Tommie enjoyed riding his tractor, farming, and going out to eat. He was a hard worker who believed in providing for his family. He was also an avid antique clock collector, a member of Silver City Baptist Church, and he had a strong connection to his land. Tommie also owned many businesses, from farming to service stations.
Tommie is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Mollie Garrett, Former wife, Ethelene Garrett, son, Marvin Garrett, daughter, Dianne Garrett Holland, stepdaughters, Paulette Nichols, Rhonda DeLong, brother, Floyd Garrett and sister-in-law, Katie Garrett.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 33 years, Mamie Garrett; grandchildren Lacy Garrett Hammond (Nathan), Lori Holland, and Molly Holland Ruiz (Orlando); step-grandchildren Tonya Shirvani, Anthony Sullens, Shane DeLong, and Chad DeLong. Great-grandchildren, Jewel Hammond, Lilly Ruiz, Leo Ruiz, step great-grandchildren, Kempton Shiravani, Kody Young, Gabe DeLong. Services to honor the life of Mr. Tommie Joe Garrett will be Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the Chapel with Rev. Scott Sorrels and Rev. Russell Burt officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Service at 2:00 PM. Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.ingramfuneralhome.com.
