MSGT Tommie Bruce Hutto, USAF, Retired, 77, beloved husband of Mrs. Gail Couch Hutto, entered into rest on Friday, April 18, 2025, in the comfort of his home.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3465 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, South Carolina 29829, from 6 until 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gene Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, South Carolina, with full military honors accorded by the United States Air Force.
Tommie's parents, Tom and Hazel Randall Hutto, and his brother, Phillip Hutto, preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory with his wife Gail are their children, Tommie Bruce Hutto, Jr. (Victoria), of North Pole, Alaska, and Tammie Egloff (Andi), of Switzerland; his sister, Kathy Hutto Lunsford, of Beech Island, SC; and three grandchildren, Kaileigh Hutto, Daniel Egloff, and Eliana Egloff.
MSGT Hutto was born in Aiken, South Carolina. He proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after twenty-one years of service, followed by twenty-five additional years of Federal Civil Service with the United States Air Force. He especially loved his time with the F-111 Aardvark. Before his health declined, he joined the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was a member and an Elder of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Missouri. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, listening and dancing to music, playing computer games, gardening, and working on projects around the house. Notably, he especially loved time spent with his family and friends, who will always remember his sense of humor and mischievous smile.
