Tommie Mae Sherrin age 89, passed away on October 15th, 2023 at her home in Rowlett, Tx.
Tommie was born on December 17th, 1933 in Detroit, TX. to Tom and Eula Smith. She was a loving mother to 4 children (Janie, Thomas, Earl, Paula), 2 step-children (Sonny, Jimmy), and 8 grandsons, 2 granddaughters. Tommie was a dedicated worker for over 40 years at JC Pennys Accounting Department in Dallas, TX.
Tommie was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Eula Smith, her husband James Denton Sherrin, her daughter Janie Mae Sherrin, 6 brothers James Lewis, Jimmy, Delbert, Roy, Jerry, Larry, and 1 sister Patricia Smith. Also, 1 grand child Wesley Keith.
Survivors are sister Lois Sherrin of Rockwall, TX. children; Thomas and Lela Sherrin of Rowlett, TX. Earl and Celia Sherrin of Grand Prairie, TX. Paula and John Bates of Terrell, TX. Jimmy and Alice Sherrin of Shawnee, OK. Judy Sherrin of Shawnee, OK. Also, her grand children, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Joe Denton Jones, Brandon Bates, Earl Sherrin, II, Kenneth Armstead, Mark Sherrin, Randy Sherrin, Brian Sherrin and Timothy Armstead. Honorary pallbearer is Jody Smith.
Viewing will be 9:00am-2:00pm, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Hudson Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Brother Earl Scroggins officiating.
Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
