Mr. Tommy Dean Comer of Atlantic Beach NC, formerly of Dobson NC, passed away on March 5, 2024. He was born July 9, 1958, in Surry County, to Delmore and Faye Hodges Comer. Tommy loved the outdoors and the Atlantic Coast and was an avid golfer and fisherman. Tommy was the owner of Carolina Office Furniture Installation in Winston Salem NC.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Faye Hodges Comer; son and daughter-in-law, Cory Dean Comer and Jenna; granddaughter, Freya Comer; sister and brother-in-law, Janet Comer Chilton and Mike; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky Comer and Lynn; niece, Courtney Chilton. Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Delmore Comer; grandparents, Elmer and Mary Ella Hodges, and Sid and Vassie Comer.
Tommy’s wishes were to have a private memorial service. In honor of Tommy, memorials may be made to The Children’s Center of Dobson, 520 Main Street, Dobson NC; or to Beulah United Methodist Church, in c/o David Whitfield, 1076 Hidden Valley Road, Lowgap NC 27024. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is providing this obituary as a courtesy for Mr. Comer’s family.
