He had a wide range of interests and was known for his amazing Toyland Christmas decorations and Nativity Scenes displayed in Springfield and at First Baptist Church Hendersonville.  He loved teaching, gardening, woodworking and hosting grand parties as well as cheering on the Tennessee Vols.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Barbara Crunk; his brother Billy Crunk, and his nephew Cary Crunk.  He is survived by his wife, Susan, his daughters Jennifer (Ross) Wetzel and Dr. Elizabeth Crunk.  He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Jo and Jim Wiseman; and sister-in-law, Brookie Crunk.
