Tommy C. Duren 72, of Belton, Missouri passed from this lie at home on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. He was born July 8, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Forrest Allen and Rhea (Meeks) Duren. He was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Tami Duren, sister Mary Stradford, brother Steven Duren and other extended family and a host of friends.
He is the father of 9 children: Robert Klugman, Angela West, Jennie Duren, Tony Lee, Megan Lee, Wil Long, Richard Long, Tabitha Krause, Jimmy Duren and their spouses. He has 29 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Forrest and Rhea, Tommy is preceded in death by 5 siblings: James Allen Duren, Bedford Duren, Paul Dean Duren, Patricia Duren and Ruth Fitzjurls.
Early in life Tommy worked as a delivery driver and in maintenance at a local hospital. He soon found his calling in life working on cars. He worked for his father for many years working on radiators and gas tanks and heating and cooling systems. When his father retired, he continued working for other shops until he got his own whop where he worked until his retirement in 2014.
When he was not working, Tommy loved spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was being in the woods, dear and turkey hunting. He liked going to the lake and taking trips to visit his parents and family in Arkansas.
Visitation will be 12-1 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 13025 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
If you so desire, memorial contributions may be made in Tommy's memory to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Fund.
