TOMMY HARDWICK

Tommy Hardwick, 81, husband of Annie Smith Hardwick, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at his home. A proud and devoted family man, he leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and unwavering lover for those around him.

Tommy was born in Aynor, SC on September 16, 1944, a son of the late Stanley and Curley Hardwick. He graduated from Aynor High School in 1962 and still loved fellowshipping with his class friends. He was a veteran of the US National Guard, a member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church, Uncle Charlie's Hut, and Clinton Lodge #60 AFM in Marion, SC. During his career, he sold farming and construction equipment and later, retired as a correctional officer at Marion County Detention Center.

Tommy was known for his warm heart and loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger and had the ability to make everyone feel loved.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tammy Springs and one sister, Veronica Bell. He also has four step-children he loved as his own, Loretta Kennedy, Loraine Kennedy, Rachel Kennedy, and Justin (Traci) Smith. He also left behind 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Allison Hardwick Littell.

The family would like to thank the McLoed Hospice Team for all their assistance with caring and support for Tommy during his illness.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Reedy Creek Baptist Church, 2508 S Hwy 501 Marion, SC 29571.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Reedy Creek Baptist Church, directed by Richardson Funeral Home of Marion. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church fellowship hall.
