Tommy G. McCracken, 75, of Washington, Indiana went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2025. He was born in Washington, Indiana on May 15, 1950, to the late Roscoe and Helen (Roach) McCracken. Tommy grew up in Montgomery and attended Bar Reeve High School before moving to Washington and attended Washington High School, graduating in 1968. He married the love of his life, Kathy Waldrop, on August 29, 1975, and they were blessed with 50 beautiful years together. Tommy was a member of New Hope Christian Church and First Christian Church.
Tommy worked for the Daviess County Highway Department for 25+ years and served as County Commissioner for 4 years. When Tommy wasn't working he could often be found supporting the Washington Community School at all his grandchildren's sporting events. He took great pride in his family and community and always offered his support. Tommy also enjoyed watching western movies and tending to his yard. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Roscoe and Helen McCracken.
Those who are left to cherish memories of Tommy are his wife, of 50 years, Kathy McCracken; children Rob (Kerry) McCracken and Lori (Brian) Hancock; grandchildren Ethan (Kelsee) McCracken, Hallie McCracken, Hannah McCracken, Lacy Hancock, Katy Hancock, Molly Hancock; great-grandchildren Dawson and Jack-Riley McCracken.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Tommy. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2020 State Street from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral service will begin promptly at 1 pm with burial at Bethany Cemetery following immediately.
Memorial donations can be made to First Christian Church in Tommy's honor.
