Tommy McLamb Obituary
Mr. Tommy Ray McLamb, age 75, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at UNC Health Johnston in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Elder Tony Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
The family will receive friends 2:00PM-2:45PM prior to the service.
Tommy was born on January 3, 1949 in Harnett County to the late Melvin McLamb and Allene Lee McLamb. Tommy at a young age started farming but at the age of 19 he started his life long career as a welder fabricator at Barefoot’s Machine and Welding. He worked there up to his retirement in 2014, which totaled almost 46 years. Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved his rabbit hunting dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joyce Elmore McLamb; sons, Steven Ray McLamb and Scott Thomas McLamb and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Hayley McLamb, Dawson McLamb and Scott Thomas McLamb, Jr. “Little Mac”; sister, Joyce Johnson and husband, Bruce.
