Tommy Smith Reynolds, Sr, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on September 19, 2025. He was born in Fairplay, Georgia on December 3, 1935, son of the late Tom "Buddy" Poole Reynolds and the late Mary Lee Gary Reynolds.

He is survived by his children: Teresa Wood and her husband Billy, Gwen Nestlehutt and her husband David, Tommy "TJ" Reynolds, Jr., Crystal Johnson and her husband Mark, Traci Jett and her husband Robie; grandchildren: Jessica Garrett, Ashley Harrelson and her husband Wes, Adam Nestlehutt and his wife Allison, Tony Johnson and his wife Lisa, Steve Johnson and his wife Hannah, Katie Bayne and her husband Dustin, Coty Jett and his wife Shannon, Dalton Jett, Tori Whitworth and her husband Daniel; great-grandchildren: Kinslei, Madilyn, Audrey, Addison, Jacob, Austin, Evelyn, Brody, Hank, Jayce and Oliver; great-great-grandchild: Knox; sister: Marjorie Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Burdette Reynolds; grandson: Joshua Garrett; siblings: Evin Barron, Delphis Reynolds, Harold Reynolds, Marvin Reynolds, Jean Argo, Terry Reynolds.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Adam Nestlehutt and Steve Johnson officiating. Steve, Adam, Coty, Dalton, Tony, Daniel, Dustin, Wes will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
