Tommy Thomason Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tommy Jay Thomason, 70, of Ila, Georgia. He left us to be with the Lord on October 6th, 2024. He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Jack Thomason and Louise Thomason.
Survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Elaine Thomason, his daughter Shannon Bennett (Chris), his sister Debbie Wood (Dennis), two grandsons, Cruz Bennett and Mason Bennett, and two great grandsons, Colson Bennett and Beau Bennett.
Tommy was a retiree of The University of Georgia, an avid farmer, fisherman, and all around outdoorsman. He enjoyed most of all spending time around people he loved, sharing memories and stories of previous trips, get togethers, and life events.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Pastors Douglas Duncan and Eugene Walls officiating. Interment will follow at Ila Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
