Tommy Wade

Thomas “Tommy” Bruce Wade, 87, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 ,while at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Dr. David Kees officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Wade was born February 09, 1939, in Tallassee, AL son of the late Joseph Edward Wade, Sr. and Willodene Flannigan Wade Edwards. He was the owner/operator of Tommy Wade Tours, INC.

Tommy was an avid Auburn Football fan and an Atlanta Braves Baseball fan. He liked almost everything related to cowboys and old county music was his favorite.

We will remember him as a man who loved his family and friends. His home going has left a void in our daily routine, however we will always have great memories to cherish of him.

Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wade, Sr., and Willodene and Thurman Edwards; two brothers, Joseph “Sonny” Edward Wade, Jr., Lucky Edwards, and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Chancelor Wade.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Ellis Wade, Phenix City, AL; four children, Becky Wade (John), Tonya Britton (Clinton), Bruce Wade (Erica) and Lance Wade; five grandchildren, Jessica Brown (Justin), Savanna Shiver, Taylor Britton Thomason (Zach), Bryce Wade (fiancée, Lexee) and Brinkley Wade; four great-grandchildren, Sawyer Brown, Stetson Brown, Britton Thomason, and Brooks Thomason; niece, Wendy Sieck (Brian) and nephew, Joey Wade; great-nieces and nephews, Brittney, Natalie, Joseph and Wade; numerous friends.
