Tommy Wells, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 25, 2025 at his home in Chattanooga, TN, at the age of 64. Born on February 26, 1961, Tommy dedicated much of his life to his family and work.
Tommy’s family was his greatest treasure. He was married to his wife, Shell, for 36 wonderful years. Together, they raised two sons, David (Kathy) Wells and Colty (Colleen) Wells, who carry forward his legacy of strong family bonds. As a grandfather, Tommy took immense joy in the lives of his grandchildren, Ashley, Angel, Marie, and Aspyn. They were a source of pride and happiness for him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Beyond his dedication to family, Tommy had a passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing. He was also a die-hard Tennessee Vols fan and was employed at Food City on Signal Mountain Road.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held on Friday, March 28th at 2:00 PM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Dallas Howard officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will welcome friends for visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and on Friday from 12:00 PM until the service begins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Shirley Dye Wells.
Tommy’s unwavering love for his family and his commitment to hard work will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
