SANTA FE – Mrs. Tommye Anne (Childs) Gail passed away at the age of 84 on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in Webster.
Born November 1, 1940, in Memphis, Mrs. Gail was a resident of Santa Fe for most of her life, previously of Baytown. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her, planting delicate flowers around her home and capturing the wonders of nature through photography-especially birds and peaceful countryside landscapes. She had a special love for the sea and coastal birds, finding comfort and inspiration in their presence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Anne (Newsom) Childs, Sr.; husband, Franklin Adolph Gail; son, George Alan Gail; sister, Becky; brother, Raymond L. Childs, Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Glenn Gail and wife, Maxine of The Woodlands, Gene Gail and wife, Delia of Houston; grandchildren, Grant Gail, Garret Gail, Kevin Scott Gail.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 – 10:00 am., with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas, with Pastor Clay Bowers officiating. Entombment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Garret Gail, Gene Gail, Glenn Gail and Grant Gail.
