In Loving Memory of Toni Usrey
April 20, 1968– May 24, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Toni Usrey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, colleague, and friend, who departed this life on May 24th, 2025 at the age of 57.
Toni Usrey is survived by her devoted husband, Brian Usrey, their two cherished daughters, Shelby Wilbert and Sarah Usrey, and their beloved son, Steven Usrey. She adored and cherished her grandbabies, Riley Wilbert, Reese Wilbert, Reagan Wilbert, Rowan Wilbert, and James Laplante. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She has two sisters, Traci Slagle and Terri Barnes.
Toni Usrey is followed in death with her beloved parents, John Krentler and Linda Krentler (Bolten).
A dedicated professional, Toni Usrey spent many years working in the IT department for Human Resources at Indiana University, where she was admired for her intelligence, professionalism, and warm presence. Her contributions to her team and the campus community were invaluable, and she will be greatly missed by her colleagues and friends at IU.
Beyond her career, Toni found her greatest joy in her family. She was the heart of the home-always offering support, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her warm smile, thoughtful nature, and genuine care for others touched many lives. She enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg, TN with and visiting family in Florida.
A celebration of Toni Usrey's life will be held on May 29th, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory 4155 South Old State Road 37 from 5pm-7pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering the remarkable woman she was. We are having a celebration of life to celebrate all the memories we were blessed to have shared with Toni Usrey.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Toni Usrey's memory to the IU Health Hospice House and cancer association. GoFundMe account has been created in support of her husband, Brian Usrey, in lieu of showing support to cover hospital bills, housing bills, etc.
