Tony James Broehl, of Mora, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his home surrounded by family after a 16-month battle with cholangiocarcinoma cancer. He was 41 years old.
Tony was born on September 19, 1983, in Milaca, Minnesota to parents Randy and Karen (Villnow) Broehl. He grew up with his sisters, Stacy and Stefanie. Tony attended Mora High School, graduating in 2002. He began working at Glen's Tire in Mora at the age of 16 as a tire technician. He tried his hand at a few other jobs but ultimately ended up back at Glen's Tire where he ran the service truck, working for Dave and Pam Johnstone for a total of 21 years.
Tony continued to live on his family's acreage where he started his own business, Tony's Sandblasting and Snowplowing. His hobbies included four-wheeling, building Legos, refurbishing old vehicles, and spending time outdoors. He was always ready to help family and friends by lending a helping hand. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Alice Villnow, and Arlin Broehl; uncles Harold Villnow and Larry Secord; aunt Lori Herrboldt; cousins, Jesse Villnow, Christopher Villnow, and Joseph Villnow.
Tony is survived by his mother Karen Broehl; father Randy Broehl; sisters, Stacy (Jesse) Holmstrom and Stefanie Broehl; nephews, Devin McClanahan (Lily), Rylan McClanahan, Kasen McClanahan, Ayden Podvin, and Braxton Holmstrom; grandmother Louise Broehl; many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Hamilton Funeral Homes - Akkerman Chapel in Mora.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.
