Tony J. Drury, 55, of Lee County, GA, died May 20, 2025 at Willson Hospice House. A visitation will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
Tony was born in Brunswick, GA on June 1, 1969 to the late Wilmer and Joan Drury. He grew up in Hortense, GA and graduated from Brantley County High School in 1987. Tony joined the United States Navy, serving for six years in the Submarine Force during the Gulf War and the Bosnian War. After his service he was employed with Merck Pharmaceuticals from 1994 until its closure in 2007.
Tony went back to College where he received his Associates Degree from Darton College and received his Bachelor Degree from Middle Georgia State University. He was currently employed with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the NICU for the last 16 years. Tony enjoyed cooking, fishing and the beach.
Survivors include his children, Victoria Drury and Evan Drury both of Peachtree City, GA, his partner, Eric Posey of Leesburg, GA, his siblings, Chris (Michelle) Drury of Blairsville, GA, Thomas (Tonya) Drury and Charles (Donna) Drury all of Jesup, GA and his nieces and nephews, Emma Drury and Ethan Drury of Blairsville, GA, James Drury of Jesup, GA, Alex Drury of Thomaston, GA, Zack Drury of Waynesville, GA and Kennedy (Parker) Stewart of Atlanta, GA.
