Tony G. Newton

Tony G. Newton, 67, of Durham, North Carolina passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was born on May 27, 1958 in Granville County, North Carolina to his mother Imogene S. Newton and late father Paul A. Newton.

Mr. Newton grew up attending Bible Baptist Church with his parents. He worked at Y&J Furniture where he enjoyed working with his father. Tony enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. Mr. Newton always looked forward to being around his nieces and nephews.

Tony was known as a jokester but more importantly will be remembered as a wonderful man who was easy going and had a very good heart. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Newton is survived by his mother, Imogene S. Newton; sister, Debbie Davis; brother, Jeffrey Phillips; nephews, Jereme Walker (Ashley) and Brad Walker (Ashley); niece, Britney Daniels (Jesse) and 10 great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor, NC. Rev. Jimmy Hall and Rev. Greg Allison will officiate.

Flowers are acceptable.
