Tony L. Osburn, 70, of Lewiston, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, from complications of cancer at home in the company of loved ones.
Tony was born July 1, 1955, in Cottonwood, to Don Osburn and Della Hartwig Osburn. He grew up in Craigmont with a full home of 10 children. He was a graduate of Craigmont High School class of 1973. Tony worked early on in the family school bus service and logging businesses before starting in construction, and later moved back into the logging industry. While he worked every aspect of logging, he settled into driving truck where he was well known to have exceptional skill, and continued to work up until his diagnosis.
Tony was an avid sports fan, supporting both professional and college athletes. His favorite teams were the Seattle Seahawks, and Gonzaga Bulldogs. His favorite past times were playing with his grandkids, attending June picnic and Winchester Days with family, and maintaining a large group of friends. He was an amazing person and will be greatly missed.
Tony is survived by his partner of over 30 years Debbie Baker, his two sons with first wife Vonda Bybee, Travis Osburn (Tanya), and Levi Osburn (Mia); his stepchildren: Michelle Adamson (Robert Brandt), Chad Baker and Tarra Adamson, his grandchildren: Shane, Haley, Katie, Evia, Jennavieve and Nauqe Osburn, his step-grandchildren: Siri Adamson, Pheobe Adamson-Brandt, Hannah Helm and Freya Baker, his siblings: Lonnie Osburn (Glenda), Jerry Osburn (Teri), Danny Osburn, Julie Steckman, Trish Wicks (Ted), David Osburn (Tammy) and Lana Fonnesbeck. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brothers Richard Osburn and Steve Osburn.
Tony's celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 2, at Ponderosa Point day-use area in Winchester State Park. A potluck lunch, soda and water will be provided. Please bring lawn chairs and your favorite Tony Stories. Due to limited parking the family will provide shuttle service into the park if necessary.
