Tony Wayne Philpott

Mr. Philpott, 74, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Philpott was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He grew up in the Greenhill community. He retired as a mechanic from American Can (Cebal). Mr. Philpott loved small engine repair, his booth at the flea market, yard sales and Senior citizen bingo. He was known for his quirky sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Evelyn Pinkston Philpott and his brothers, Ernest Philpott, Larry Philpott and Randy Philpott.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Philpott, children, Santha L. Koonce (Douglas A.), Eric Wayne Philpott and Sabrina D. Philpott; sisters, Marcia Dickens, Dora Ensey and Frances Phillips; grandchildren, Ashlen Cartwright, Elijah Cartwright, Sophia Veach and Jasper Wayne Philpott.
The Funeral Service will be Wednesday September 17,2025 at 1:00pm at Gowen-Smith Chapel with Rev. James Bender officiating. The visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00am till 1:00pm at the funeral home. The burial will be in Willow Mount Cemetery.
