Tony Ruiz, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024, in Odessa, Texas.

 

 Private family funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

 

 Tony was born in Kearney, Nebraska, to Mary Lee Parkey and Celedonio Ruiz on May 19, 1965. Throughout his life, he lived in Nebraska, Colorado and Texas. He attended Trinity University and spent his career as a hospital administration in several different hospitals. He loved to travel and was blessed to see so many different parts of the world with his family. His love for his family and faith in God carried him through many years of battling a long-term illness. His faith, grace, and positive attitude never wavered. 

 

Tony is preceded in death by his father and mother. 

 

Tony is survived by his wife, Diana; sons, Gavin and Carson; brother, Rene Ruiz; stepmother, Jeraldine Ruiz; nephews, Cameron Ruiz and Julian Lopez, Dominic Bejarano; and nieces, Isla Bejarano, Avery Bugg and husband Cameron Bugg, and Allison Marler.

 

He was loved by so many, and his positivity and love of life will be forever missed. 

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Rays of Hope Children's Grief Centre and St. John's Episcopal School in Odessa in his honor.
