Tonya Christine Jenkins

Tonya Christine Jenkins, aged 55, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Wilmington, NC. Born on August 2, 1970, in Forsyth County, NC, she lived a life full of love, creativity, and dedication to her family and community.

A graduate of RJ Reynolds High School, Tonya pursued her passion for baking, becoming a talented baker and cake designer. Her creations brought joy to countless celebrations and gatherings, each cake a testament to her artistic flair and attention to detail.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Tonya was deeply committed to nurturing the spirit and potential of young people. She served as a cheerleading coach and youth mentor, roles in which she inspired and guided many with her enthusiasm and kindness. Her impact was felt not only in her community in Southport, NC, where she resided, but also in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Roy Wendell Noah. She is survived by her her mother, Honey Humphrey; her cherished children, daughter Stephanie Jenkins and son Tony Jenkins; and her adored grandchildren, Ahanli Monae Noah, Kyrie Noah, Dorian Williams, Jr., and Nalani Williams. She also leaves behind her beloved brother Joe Noah and sister Angela Anderson, along with numerous friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service to honor Tonya's life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church, located at 401 Oakhurst Street, Kernersville, NC.

Tonya's warmth, creativity, and generosity will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched and the lives she enriched.
