Ms. Tonya Ann Thornton Born October 13, 1962, Tonya lived a life of integrity, compassion and joy. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and wisdom, leaving a profound impact on her family and friends. A devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She always placed the needs of others before her own. Tonya's unconditional love and unwavering support brought comfort to those around her. Her warm smile could brighten up anyone's day. Tonya lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing the moments spent with loved ones. Whether she was keeping you on a straight and narrow, keeping your children or cooking smothered pork chops with cheesy scallop potatoes for the entire neighborhood, she did it with unconditional love. For everyone who resided in Argentine knew that if you needed a warm bed, a hot meal or just wanted to catch the latest Chiefs and Royals highlights, Ms. Tonya's house was your safe Haven. Tonya was the most non-judgmental, nurturing, open-minded, loving, caring woman you could have ever met. She had a way of making everyone feel valued and heard no matter the circumstances. Tonya was surpassed by her mother Esther Carroll, her father Ervin White Sr, and her two brothers Eugene White and Ervin White Jr. She leaves behind two sons Cortez White and James Thornton III and two daughters Jameisha Thornton and Moneeke Thornton. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Her legacy of resilience and cherished memories will be carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Although Tonya may no longer be here with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain. May She Rest In Internal Peace
