Tracie Claybrook, age 62, of Gainesville, Texas and formerly of Muleshoe, Texas, died Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Gainesville. She was born June 26, 1963 in Paducah, Texas to Cleo and Beth (Ellis) Webb. She married Stephen Claybrook in Muleshoe on December 18, 1981.
Tracie attended Muleshoe schools and won a gold medal at State Solo and Ensemble contest with her saxophone. She was a licensed foster parent to 37 kids. Tracie was deeply devoted to her faith and was a director for New Horizons Emmaus Community. She loved to sing alto with her dad, Cleo at Richland Hills Baptist Church. Tracie was a scrapbooker and collected numerous photos. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Tracie was an amazing mom and "Mops" to her grandbabies. She is preceded in death by a son, Karsten Claybrook; her father, Cleo; and two grandbabies in heaven.
Tracie is survived by Stephen of Gainesville, Texas; her son, Jobryan Claybrook and his wife, Rebekah of Breckenridge, Texas; her daughter, Kayla Edinger and her husband, Trey of Frisco, Texas; her mother, Beth of Muleshoe, Texas; three sisters, Tammy Smith and her husband, Louis of Little Elm, Texas, Tana Teague and her husband, Mike of Clovis, New Mexico and Terri Borden and her husband, Matt of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her two grandbabies, Cambry Claybrook and Avery Claybrook; and four nieces.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Mountain Top Youth Ministry, 1498 I-20, Cisco, Texas, 76437.
