Tracie Jen Hemingway-Kasko
Rockaway Township, New Jersey
November 10, 2025 – Age 55
Tracie Jen Hemingway-Kasko of Rockaway Township passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2025, at the age of 55. She is deeply missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Kevin Kasko, and their children, Hunter (16) and Ryan (11).
A devoted mother, Tracie lived each day for her children, always ensuring their growth and happiness through her boundless love and care. She was a constant presence in their lives and in the lives of her family and friends. She was known for sending lotto tickets and "confetti bombs"-handwritten cards to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, or just to brighten someone's day. Wherever she went, Tracie filled the room with laughter, making any space feel lighthearted and full of fun.
Tracie was diagnosed with oligodendroglioma brain cancer in January 2022. Despite the immense challenges posed by surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, she faced each day with unparalleled strength, grace, and courage.
Born and raised in Rockaway Township, Tracie was the cherished daughter of Judith and the late Paul Hemingway, as well as his spouse, Joyce. She is also survived by her sister, Julie and her husband Robert, niece Angela and her husband Robbie, nephew Brian, brother Thomas and his wife Christine, and their children Katherine, Jennifer, Rebecca, and Thomas. Tracie was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Tracie was a lifelong learner and achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a Master's Degree in Administration while balancing the demands of marriage, work, and raising a family. She worked in various roles throughout her career, including at the Morristown Court Family Youth System, Warner Lambert, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Quintiles. Later, she pursued a degree in education and became a substitute teacher in Rockaway Township's elementary schools. Most recently, she served as an administrative secretary at the Rockaway Township Municipal Building, where she continued to contribute to various departments even after her cancer diagnosis.
Her love for her family extended into her deep involvement in her children's schools and activities. Tracie was a dedicated homeroom mother, PTA member, garden grower, and an enthusiastic supporter at both Birchwood Elementary and Copeland Middle School. Whether cheering on her kids at sports events or bringing snacks for the team, she was always there.
Beyond the classroom, Tracie was committed to giving back to her community. She contributed to local causes through baking, writing thank-you cards to firefighters and police officers for their service, coordinating blood drives, and helping with the annual Halloween party. Her selfless spirit and commitment to kindness were evident in everything she did.
Tracie also found healing and inspiration at Mary's Place by the Sea, an annual retreat for women with cancer. There, she found solace for her body and soul and eagerly encouraged other cancer survivors to experience its peaceful environment.
Visitation: Saturday, November 15, 2025, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 5:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph.
