Tracy Ashcroft Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barry Wilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd. on Apr. 30, 2025.
Tracy J. Ashcroft, age of 62, born in East St. Louis, IL on May 1, 1962, passed away at his residence in Fairmont City, IL on April 26, 2025.
Tracy was a passionate soul whose greatest joys in life came from the things he loved most-music, technology, and his beloved cats. A devoted fan of heavy metal, Tracy had an ear for sound and a deep appreciation for music, which he expressed through an impressive collection and a talent for mixing tracks that brought energy to any room. His curiosity and technical skills led him to build and troubleshoot computers with a level of expertise. Yet, above all, Tracy's heart belonged to his cats, who brought him comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.
He is survived by his brother, Terry (Marcia) Ashcroft of Collinsville, IL; two step-brothers: Frank (Nancy) Halvachs of Granite City, IL, and Rick (Kathy) Halvachs of Shiloh, IL; a sister-in-law, Lynn Ashcroft of Collinsville, IL; nephews: Matthew, Patrick, and Matt; nieces: Brittany, Kendra, Elizabeth, Sarah, Emily, and Heather; great nieces: Caitlin, Teagan, Addison and Lydia; and great nephew, Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jo Ann (nee Draikowski) and Frank Halvachs; brother, Thomas E. Ashcroft; and grandmother, Viola Draikowski.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with a burial at St. John's Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Gateway Pet Guardians and may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 North Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
