Ann Elizabeth Goldsmith, age 80, of Collinsville, IL, born November 10, 1945, in Hillsboro, IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at her home with her husband by her side.

Ann was a proud 1963 graduate of Collinsville High School. She dedicated 38 years to shaping young minds as an elementary school teacher in the Collinsville Unit 10 School District before retiring. Her passion for education, patience, and kindness left a lasting impact on generations of students and colleagues.

On June 24, 1967, Ann married her high school classmate, Ronald "Ron" Goldsmith. Together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and shared accomplishments. They enjoyed traveling and embracing new experiences, creating cherished memories along the way.

Ann was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlen and Edna (nee McClurg) Evans; her beloved son, Edward Goldsmith; and her brother, Bruce Evans.

Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Ron Goldsmith; her granddaughter, Chasey Bowden; and two sisters, Sally (Jim) Randles of Roanoke and Jane (J.D.) Jones of Phoenix. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Andrew Packer.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or KAHOKStrong and will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
