Tracy M. (Maycroft) Bartell, age 53, of Wayland, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 202.
She was born on January 10, 1969, in Muskegon, to David & Linda (Schnipke) Maycroft. Tracy attended Updyke Elementary, Ravenna Middle and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1987. She worked as a nurse's aide in a nursing home and as a mental health worker in a group home as well as various other jobs that she enjoyed. Tracy loved reading, watching reality TV and scary movies. She attended church and Bible studies, gardening, talking and spending time with friends and family. Tracy was born and raised as a Catholic, and later became a faithful member of Moline Baptist Church in 1987. She had a great sense of humor, loved to have a good time, was loyal and supportive of others, loved her family and friends, and was a great dancer and loved music.
Tracy married Thomas Bartell on June 1, 2001.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Bartell; parents, David & Linda Macroft; mother and father-inlaw, Donna & Steve; sisters, Wendy Gornick Maycroft and Wanda (Maycroft) Passenier and their respective spouses, Larry Passenier and Joy Gornick-Maycroft; nephews, Larry and Derek Passenier; Joey's partner, Briona and Derek's wife, Emalee; sister-in-law, Dawn; Niece, Cassandra; pets, Dolly; special friends, Gail and Joyce; and numerous other family and friends who loved her.
She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Pearl & Helen Maycroft; maternal grandparents, Lenus & Ardith Schipke; stepson, Johnny; niece, Erica Ann; pet, Ruby; family members on Tommy's side; and several close friends she's known since high school as well those she had known after high school.
A memorial service will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Moline Baptist Church. A light luncheon will be provided. A graveside service will take place at Sullivan Township Cemetery in Ravenna, in the Spring of 2023.
