Tracy Lynn Dean

Tracy Lynn (Short) Dean/Rennison, age 62, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by love and family.
Tracy was born on March 22, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Linda (Starr) Short and Gary Short. She later moved to Springfield, Missouri, where she attended and graduated from Parkview High School.
In 1981, Tracy married Lee Rennison, and together they welcomed two sons, Lee Jason Rennison and Michael Thomas Rennison, who were the pride and joy of her life. In 2003, she married Danny Dean, gaining not only a loving husband but also a stepson, Kenny Dean.
Tracy had a generous heart and found her greatest happiness in family. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and creativity. A talented quilter and crafter, Tracy poured love into everything she made. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the ocean, visiting casinos, and admiring flowers of all kinds. She also loved playing cards and board games with family and could be found digging into genealogy, eager to learn more about where she came from.
Above all else, Tracy cherished time spent with the people she loved. Her kindness, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Tracy is survived by her loving husband, Danny Dean; her mother, Linda (Short) Lindsay; her sons, Lee Jason Rennison and Michael Thomas Rennison; her sisters, Pam Baker, Jamie Short, and Cristy Short; her Sister in Law Kathy Rennison Edwards; her grandsons Carson Rennison and Jaxson Rennison ;her stepson, Kenny Dean; her stepmother, Carolyn Medley; and many beloved nieces, nephews and many friends.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Lee Rennison; by her father, Gary Short, her Grandma and Grandpa Short; and her Grandma and Grandpa Starr.
