Tracy J. Jensen

West Point – Tracy J. Jensen, 52, was called home from complications due to ALS on December 31, 2023, at home with his loving family. He was born December 29, 1971, in Ogden, Utah son of Alvin Joseph Jensen and Helen Brown Jensen.

Tracy married Jennifer L. Flint on September 16, 1994 in Syracuse, Utah. They were later sealed in the Bountiful LDS Temple. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Braxton Jensen, Brock Jensen, and Rylee Jensen.

He was raised in Ogden and graduated from Bonneville High School. Tracy earned a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Weber State University and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.

Tracy served as a Police Officer for 24 years. He worked for Weber County Sheriff’s Office, Syracuse City Police Department, and Davis County Sheriff’s Office. Tracy never considered his jobs to be work as he loved what he did and found it an honor to serve.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, in the outdoors, camping, riding in his side-by-side, and keeping up with his many friends on social media. Tracy was a very special person who always had a smile for everyone and a laugh that can light up a room

Surviving are his wife Jennifer Jensen, West Point; children, Braxton Jensen (Maleah), West Haven; Brock Jensen, West Point; Rylee Jensen, West Point; mother Helen Jensen, Plain City; four brothers Scott Harding, Mike Jensen, David Jensen, Chad Jensen; two sisters Shelly Modahl, Julie Snowball; one granddaughter.

Tracy was welcomed into heaven by his father Alvin Jensen, Kevin Flint (father in law), and brother Scott Jensen.

The family would like to thank friends, neighbors, family, and medical professionals who offered prayers, support, loving care, and service during these difficult times.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Syracuse Cemetery. 1250 South 1000 West. Friends may visit with family from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West.
