Tracy Lundquist Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dahlstrom Funeral Home - Oakes on May 28, 2025.
Tracy Jo Lundquist of Lisbon, ND passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 unexpectedly at her home. Tracy was born July 6, 1961 in Fargo, ND to Thomas and Marilyn (Benson) Lundquist. She was the youngest of 4 children and grew up in Moorhead, MN. She moved to Williston, ND in 1983 where she raised her two children Ericka (Ricky) and Vaughn. The family then moved to Watertown, SD in 1993. While she lovingly raised her children, she was also the bookkeeper for the family business. On weekends, Tracy enjoyed taking her kids along with friends and going to rummage sales and shopping. After her kids graduated high school, she went back to college and earned a criminal justice degree from Mount Marty College in Watertown. Shortly after graduating from Mount Marty, she continued on to get a Bachelors degree in Agronomy at SDSU in Brookings, SD. Tracy was self-proclaimed as the "Dirt Police". Tracy then moved to North Dakota and made her new home outside of Lisbon, ND, where she built herself a hobby farm. She started her career with the North Dakota State Health Department in 2007. Tracy inspected landfills for 14 years before being diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. Shortly after, Tracy retired to enjoy life. She traveled North Dakota and South Dakota visiting her many friends and family. She also loved spending time with her dog, Dingo and her horse, Fuego. Tracy enjoyed and loved all animals. She had recently traveled with friends to Cancun and Nashville. She absolutely loved holiday gatherings with family and friends, don't forget the smoked pulled pork. Tracy completely enjoyed any shopping, playing board games and card games, especially Pinochle. She fell in love with the art of brush painting and had them displayed in several areas of her house. Recently another passion of hers had been dot painting. Tracy also enjoyed doing several other crafts and made personal gifts for many. Tracy was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be forever loved and dearly missed.
Blessed to have been part of her short 63 years includes daughter, Ericka (Erik) Feickert; son, Vaughn Nelson; granddaughters, Alexa (Damien) Bumpous, Emmy Feickert; sister, Susan (Roger) Perkerewicz; brother, Mark (Kathi) Lundquist; nephew, Dimitri (Cassandra) Lundquist; nieces, Alexa (Kyle) Kraft and Kelsey (Calvin) Lundquist.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Marilyn Lundquist and her oldest sister, Sally Lundquist.
A celebration of her life will be held at the home of her son, Vaughn Nelson at 47512 138th St Corona, SD 57227 on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome.
