Tracy Nelson Obituary
Grandchildren Were Her Heart - Tracy Lynn Nelson, 56, Leaves Behind a Legacy of Love.
Known most for the deep love she held for her family and friends, Tracy passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 surrounded by the family she loved so dear.
Born on March 16, 1969 to Nila Hunt Robling and Gary Nelson; Tracy was known for her deep warmth, unshakable dedication to her family, and a sense of humor that could light up a room. She had a gift for making people laugh - the kind of laughter that comes from deep in your belly and leaves tears in your eyes. Her stories, quick wit, and playful spirit brought joy to countless gatherings over the years. Her children often said that the hardest they ever laughed was when they were with her - and those memories will be cherished forever.
She was the proud Mother of five children and cherished Mamoe to three grandchildren.
Tracy leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Kee'jai, Jai'ah, and Anson who were the light of her life and the center of her entire world. Her love for them knew no bounds, and they will carry her memory forward with the same warmth, strength, and devotion she gave so freely.
Tracy is also survived by her children - Jalen Packer, Ashlyn Packer, Kiana Hardiman (Derrick Mayo), Kennedy Hardiman, and Jensyn Hardiman all of whom were touched by her unwavering love. Bonus children: Colby Fisher, Alexis LaMar, and a few more whom she loved as her own. Their bond was one of love, not blood, and she cherished each of them deeply. While her children were young, her home was more than just a house - it was the place to be. Whether you were one of her kids or just a friend passing through, you were always welcome. Her kitchen was legendary, filled with the best food, endless snacks, and cold drinks, and her heart was even fuller. She made sure everyone felt like family. To know her was truly to love her. She left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to be in her orbit - with kindness, laughter, and a love that never ran out.
She is also survived by her siblings - Stephanie Bishop (Donnie) and Courtney Shots (Randy) of
Princeton, IN and Alison Risch of Bellingham, WA. Her mother, Nila Robling, and stepmother, Margie Taylor, who was once married to her late father. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, lifelong friends, and special family, the Packers.
She was welcomed into eternal rest by the loved ones she had longed to see again. Her father, Gary Nelson, her faithful dog, Karleigh and many others who had gone before her were waiting to welcome her home with open arms.
