Tracy Ross was born on April 10th 1958, in San Angelo, Texas, to Lt. Colonel Gene Ross and Leora Maye Ross. She passed away on September 16th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard “Ric” Ross (Bonnie), all from Amarillo.
Growing up in Amarillo, she had a very ideal and happy childhood, as were her formative years. She attended Amarillo College and worked in the Houston area for many years with Meridian Oil and AIG.
She had the greatest sense of humor her whole life. Tracy was an avid fisherman for many years and never tired of throwing out a line. She took trips on her Harley with her two brothers. And of course, she tried skydiving a few times. Some of Tracy’s best friends were the various rescued animals she acquired through the years. This included dogs, cats, birds, a hedgehog (named Harley), and a pot-bellied pig.
She is survived by her brother, Brad Ross (Marita) of Sun Lakes, Arizona; four nieces, Tera Patterson (Matt) of Amarillo, Tiffanni Proctor (Barry) of Amarillo, Lara McDonald (Mike) of Tempe, Arizona, and Sara Kodumal (Matt) of Tempe, Arizona; four great-nieces, and three great-nephews.
