Tracy Wayne Sorrell, 50, of Dewey, OK passed away surrounded by love and cherished memories. Born on June 14, 1974, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of the late Andrew (Andy) Leonard Sorrell and Sandra Lee Wilson Sorrell. Tracy was a proud graduate of Bartlesville High School, class of 1991.
Growing up, Tracy was an avid Boy Scout, an experience that shaped his values of integrity, responsibility, and self-reliance, traits that stayed with him throughout his life. A graduate of Tulsa Welding School with an Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Welding Technology, Tracy worked as a Welding Inspector for Matrix Services. His career took him to job sites across the United States, where he applied his expertise in welding technology and problem-solving skills.
Tracy was more than just a skilled tradesman; he was the heart of his family. As a father, he was wise, understanding, and deeply caring-the best any child could ask for. He loved his four children, River, Thorin, Archer, and Freya, fiercely and unconditionally, always putting their needs above all else. Though not a people person by nature, he was a devoted family man who would do anything for those he loved.
Tracy had a deep love for music, with a particular fondness for artists like Metallica, Van Halen, and Megadeth, though he never had a single favorite. His love for books was equally profound, with The Wheel of Time being his favorite series and Brandon Sanderson his favorite author. Tracy also found joy in fishing, cooking delicious meals for his family, and immersing himself in books, whether reading or listening to audiobooks. His curiosity and mechanical mind constantly sought to figure out how things worked, a trait that inspired those around him.
Tracy was preceded in death by his parents, Sandra and Andy Sorrell, and his brother, Randall Sorrell.
He is survived by his children: River Sorrell of Dewey, OK; Thorin Sorrell and daughter-in-law LeiLani Sorrell of Talala, OK; Archer Sorrell of Dewey, OK; and Freya Sorrell of Dewey, OK.
Honoring Tracy's wishes, the family will not hold a service or burial.
He will forever be remembered with love, strength, and countless cherished memories.
