Trae Xander McCormack, age 20 of Ekron passed away on December 25, 2025 in a tragic car accident.

He was born on December 21, 2005 in Louisville, KY son of Shannon McCormack and Quinton "Squid" McCormack. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerard & Barbara McCormack.

Trae was a 2024 graduate of Meade County High School, where he was an exceptional student. He participated in both the football and wrestling teams. He was a lover of cars and trucks and was known for doing things the Trae way. He was working in production at Blue Oval. Trae was a good brother, a loving son, and a great friend who is loved by many. He will be missed by many friends and family, we love you Trae.

He is survived by his loving parents Shannon and Squid McCormack; his siblings, Tristin McCormack, Haley Gable, his twin Talon McCormack, Phoenix McCormack, and Layla McCormack; nephew, Levi Rushing; grandparents, Cynthia and Dallas "Andy" Bell; and many aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2026 from 4-8:00 P.M. at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Friday.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Gary Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery, Brandenburg, KY 40108
