It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Travis Ray Brown on December 17, 2025, following his heroic battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Travis was born on September 17, 1950 in Levelland TX, to John William Brown and Helen Ruth Brown (Wilton). Travis was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife Patricia, and father to his four children Brian, Nathan, Rhonda and Renee. He was cherished by his seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Travis joined the USN in 1979 and served on the Boomer class submarine, USS Daniel Boone, where he traveled the world underwater. After his service to his country, he used his newly acquired skills and education to improve the lives of his family and himself.
A longtime resident of Las Cruces NM, he and Patricia lived in many places around the US including Austin TX and Alamogordo NM where they met and married as high school sweethearts, but Las Cruces was always his home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
